A much-loved character in the Naruto universe, Sasuke is portrayed as the ultimate adversary, teammate, and friend of Masashi Kishimoto's main character. Between Sasuke and Naruto, who is the strongest? We can't say, except that Sasuke is among the most powerful ninjas in Konoha.
As part of the Uchiha clan, Sasuke lived with his parents in his village until his brother Itachi came and wreaked havoc, killing everyone except his younger brother. Rage and vengeance gradually settled in young Sasuke's heart, turning him into a being filled with hatred and contempt. We understand why Sasuke wants to kill Itachi and surpass him in battle, even at the cost of his own life.

While at first glance, Sasuke Uchiha's story is a quest for revenge, the details of his journey reveal a whole range of characteristics, personalities, strengths, and techniques he has developed and mastered throughout his battles. How did Sasuke get the Mangekyou Sharingan? How did Sasuke get the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan? How did Sasuke get the Rinnegan? What are the main combat techniques he uses? Let's discover his story and evolution from childhood to Sasuke and Sakura's wedding.
Sasuke's Evolution in Konoha

Who is Sasuke? He is a descendant of the Uchiha clan, one of the 14 clans of Konoha. From a young age, he joined the Konoha ninja academy where he would grow alongside Naruto Uzumaki and Sakura Haruno to form Team 7, with the guidance of Kakashi Hatake, their sensei. At this stage, Sasuke is still just a young student performing some D-rank missions assigned to the three of them by their master.
When did Sasuke's life begin to change? During the Chūnin Exam, he received the cursed seal affixed by Orochimaru and began to feel its painful effects, which troubled him during organized battles. He gradually learned to control them through willpower and Kakashi's training. Step by step, young Sasuke grew and mastered the Chidori, his favorite combat technique.
His hatred for Itachi continued to grow as he became an accomplished ninja. And when his older brother came to Konoha to search for Naruto under Akatsuki's orders, he seized the opportunity to confront him in a duel, a duel he lost from the start.
Realizing that he still couldn't reach his brother's level, Sasuke decided to leave Konoha and join the opposing side with Orochimaru. His new master offered him an escape route to gain power, an opportunity he did not hesitate to seize.
Sasuke's Sharingan

How did Sasuke get the Sharingan? He simply inherited it from his clan. Indeed, this power is transmissible from generation to generation among the Uchiha; the clan's heirs are therefore sooner or later destined to develop the kaleidoscope Sharingan, although some never succeed.
As you can see, a trigger element, rigorous and specific training is needed to awaken a ninja's Sharingan. In Naruto Shippuden, Sasuke achieved it through emotions. After Itachi massacred his entire village, hatred and fear engulfed him and caused his Sharingan to take over. At this stage, he still only had one tomoe.
Later, Sasuke managed to upgrade his Sharingan level, notably by fighting Haku, and then Naruto. This particularity developed among the Uchiha manifests itself in his eyes turning red. The Dojutsu allows him to predict all his opponent's movements and adjust the trajectory of projectiles and attacks accordingly.
Sasuke perfected his combat techniques by learning the Genjutsu illusion. Facing him, his opponents became confused and easily manipulated.
How did Sasuke get the Mangekyou Sharingan?

It was during his fight with Itachi that Sasuke Uchiha first used the Mangekyou Sharingan kaleidoscope. However, he was only able to perfect it with Madara's help. This Sharingan allows him to access the heavenly light, Amaterasu. This combat technique consists of unleashing black flames capable of burning or incinerating without limits. It also incites the evocation of the Tsukuyomi, which aims to plunge his opponents' minds into an illusory and deadly world.
Later, during the fight against the Raikage, Sasuke used Susanoo to give his attack flames a full shield-like appearance. The way he evokes it demonstrates a high level of mastery of the Mangekyou Sharingan. He used it again during his fight against Kakashi, a fight that ultimately ended in his opponent's favor. How can his defeat be explained?
Sasuke simply couldn't bear the backlash of his Mangekyou, which could blind him if he wasn't careful. Moreover, we all know how much the power of this dōjutsu can cause eye problems.

How did Sasuke get the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan?

Sasuke's life seems to revolve around Itachi Uchiha. Following his brother's death, Tobi transplanted Itachi's Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan into Sasuke, who immediately gained the powers of this powerful Sharingan.
Thanks to the Eternal Mangekyou, Sasuke can now use his kaleidoscope without the risk of developing eye problems. It allows Sasuke's Susanoo to obtain a flame sword identical to his brother's Susanoo, except that it is essentially made of Amaterasu flames. One can expect greater power and more considerable impacts.
How did Sasuke get the Rinnegan?

The Rinnegan, this is a particularity we find in Sasuke Uchiha when he fights his opponents. An evolution of the Sharingan, the Rinnegan can only be awakened when one has succeeded in combining the cells of the Senju with those of the Uchiha. Sasuke and Itachi being from the Uchiha clan, they only had to find chakra from the Senju.
When did Sasuke get his Rinnegan? It was precisely when Sasuke fought during the Fourth Great Ninja War (Shinobi) that he discovered a great secret. Apparently, he is the reincarnation of Indra, the eldest son of Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki, a descendant of the Senju. He therefore directly received his Rinnegan from Hagoromo, a transmission of power allowing him to multiply his strength to a whole new level.
If the question of how Sasuke obtained the Rinnegan is now answered, one can well wonder what to expect with this powerful dōjutsu. In Sasuke's case, it developed in his left eye and is characterized by the presence of six tomoe. This impressive phenomenon allows the launch of ocular genjutsu or the use of Amaterasu to spread immense black flames impossible to stop during the fights in which he will participate.

Sasuke and Itachi

Sasuke vs. Itachi, who is the strongest, who is the most invincible? Throughout the manga, we observe an impressive evolution of Sasuke, who has only one goal in his life: to gain the necessary strength to defeat his brother and enemy in a duel.
From his earliest childhood until he awakened the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan and the Rinnegan, Sasuke wanted at all costs to avenge the death of his parents by killing Itachi, who had become his worst enemy. To defeat him, he set out to become the strongest ninja in Konoha, even if it meant joining the opposing side with the Akatsuki to achieve this. Through Sasuke's story, we can see how far a person can go to defend their values and fight injustice.
Itachi, for his part, didn't tell his little brother everything. Deep down, he simply wanted the latter to surpass himself and become a powerful ninja by provoking him in this way. Unfortunately, Sasuke only realized the affection his brother had for him after he died.
Upon Itachi's death, he not only inherited the Eternal Sharingan and Rinnegan, but he also opened his eyes to the sacrifice and heavy burden Itachi had carried throughout his years. Confident, he returned to Konoha to carry out a new revenge.

When does Sasuke return to Konoha?

Sasuke left Konoha when he felt powerless and was still far from being able to kill Itachi. He left with Orochimaru for two and a half years of intense training, making him stronger and more hateful. And once he reached full power, he decided to trap his master's soul when he lowered his guard to perform a soul transmigration.
Once the latter was out of the way, he formed Hebi (meaning serpent) with Karin, Suigetsu, and Jūgo, who helped him find Itachi. The fatal battle against the latter would ensue until he died and Sasuke was recovered by Zetsu and Tobi, members of Akatsuki.
Upon awakening, Tobi revealed the full truth about Itachi's actions, the real reasons that pushed him to massacre his entire family. In fact, it was a plan dictated by Danzo (who had become Hokage) who feared the power of the Uchiha. To preserve peace, Itachi was then forced to do what he had to do, even if it meant eradicating the Uchiha clan from the map.
Surprised by Tobi's words, Sasuke renamed his Hebi team to Taka (meaning hawk). He returned to Konoha, this time to avenge his brother and ensure that his sacrifice was not in vain.

Sasuke and Sakura

Once in Konoha, Sasuke interrupted the council of the Five Kage, having received the threat sent by Akatsuki warning them of what Sasuke was now capable of. After defeating Danzo with the Mangekyou Sharingan kaleidoscope and Karin's sacrifice, he continued his path to avenge his brother.
It was at this moment that he once again faced his former Team 7, Sakura and Naruto. Sakura intended to deceive him, but ended up falling into her own trap. She would have died if Kakashi hadn't been there to rescue her.
Sasuke and Naruto later faced each other in a battle to the death, but it ultimately ended in a draw. Both lost an arm and were healed by Sakura. From that moment on, Sasuke became kind again and began to be more attentive to Sakura. The hatred gradually left him, giving way to affection for her.
How did Sasuke and Sakura get together? He declared his feelings to Sakura and accepted hers in Naruto Boruto, after his journey of redemption.
Does Sasuke love Sakura?

In The Last, Sasuke embarks on a journey of redemption to clear his mind. The manga ends with Naruto and Hinata's wedding, which he couldn't attend. In parallel, his feelings for Sakura began to take root in his heart, so much so that he married her in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.
The Sasuke of Boruto is a man in love, very different from the young man full of hatred at the beginning of the manga. Nevertheless, if there is one characteristic that has never left him, it is the importance he places on his values and the protection of his loved ones at the cost of his own life.
Sasuke and Sakura give birth to a little girl. Sasuke's daughter is named Sarada, a beautiful little girl who makes the couple happy. Sasuke finishes his journey by agreeing to become the master of Naruto's son, who cannot master the Rasengan, his father's favorite technique.
Sasuke's Techniques

The story of Sasuke Uchiha is primarily marked by the evolution of his combat techniques. Thanks to the Mangekyou Sharingan and the Rinnegan, he distinguishes himself from other ninjas in Naruto Shippuden by his mastery of fire and the powers conferred by his powerful eyes.

Katon

Katon is a combat technique based on the mastery and manipulation of fire. Sasuke began practicing this technique at a young age. Moreover, in the Uchiha clan, a man is only considered as such when he is able to spit a beautiful fireball and use it easily in his fights.
Throughout the manga, Sasuke perfected his Katon until he reached a stage where this technique allowed him to create a large storm and use lightning.
Enton

An evolution of Katon, Enton consists of shaping Amaterasu to create an ultimate defensive weapon. Sasuke obtained it after his Mangekyou Sharingan.
The Amaterasu flames are known for their immense, powerful black flames, impossible to extinguish for 7 days and nights continuously. This fire can even burn traditional fire, such power that one surely does not wish to encounter in their opponents.
