Comment obtenir l’effet cascade ?

Avec un cône à reflux, percé d’un trou à sa base, posé sur l’ouverture du porte-encens : la fumée refroidit dans le canal et redescend le long de la sculpture. Les cônes classiques et les bâtonnets se consument très bien aussi, simplement leur fumée monte.

La fumée monte au lieu de descendre, pourquoi ?

C’est presque toujours un courant d’air : ventilateur, fenêtre ouverte, bouche de ventilation. Éloignez-la des flux d’air et la cascade revient. Au tout début, la fumée monte quelques secondes le temps que le conduit chauffe, c’est normal.

Peut-on l’utiliser comme simple lampe, sans encens ?

Oui, sans aucun problème. L’éclairage LED fonctionne indépendamment : beaucoup l’utilisent en lampe d’ambiance au quotidien et ne font couler la fumée que de temps en temps.

Comment l’entretenir ?

Laissez-la refroidir, retirez les cendres, puis passez un chiffon humide sur le parcours de la fumée. Un conduit encrassé finit par bloquer la cascade.
